A local court in Muzaffarpur in Bihar on Wednesday took exception to non-compliance of its October 6 order by Mumbai Police to produce MNS chief Raj Thackeray in the court and issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against the Marathi politician for his "hate speeches" against Biharis.
A Bihar court on Saturday summoned Congress President Sonia Gandhi to appear before it on July 29 in connection with a complaint alleging that her depiction in posters in Uttar Pradesh in 2007 as Goddess Durga was an "insult to Hindu religion."
Police sources claimed that during investigations it was noted that allegations were "mischievous" and "lacked substance".
